Navigate Recharge is for people over 50 who are ready to intentionally embrace the second half of life with wisdom and courage.
A space to recalibrate
RECHARGE is a space for recalibration of your whole person. A time set aside to be renewed for the next season of your life. It’s designed to encourage you to rediscover your true identity as a child of God and relate to Him in freedom as your Abba Father.
During this one-year program you will explore some of the deeper questions as you take time to encounter God’s Word and connect with His Spirit in the context of spiritual friendships. This is a year of equipping you to live loved, and to live to love in a world that needs transformation.
A prospect that speaks of freedom
Who would you become if you encountered God’s living Word regularly, if you learned to hear the prompting of the Holy Spirit and saw the power of the resurrection transforming you, your family and those in your sphere of influence? This is an exciting prospect, one that speaks of freedom.

You can choose to enjoy the Navigate Recharge experience while also earning credit towards a Diploma, Bachelor or Master’s Degree. This option integrates the practical, theoretical and formational learning. Recharge students can choose to complete up to four subjects over the year towards their chosen award.
*ACOM is a Member Institute of the Sydney College of Divinity who offer internationally recognised higher education awards.
There are no specific entry requirements into Navigate Recharge itself, besides being over 50 (or nearing 50). However if you choose to study with ACOM alongside Recharge, you will need to meet their admission requirements. See acom.edu.au for more details.
Applications for 2020 are now closed. We will reopen applications for 2021 in September 2020.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I work and participate in RECHARGE?
Yes! Recharge is designed as a part-time experience so that those with full-time work, family commitments or other study can still participate. If you choose to complete Recharge as an accredited student, you will need to allocate additional study time each week (as indicated by ACOM’s study guidelines).
How much time off work will I need?
There will be 4 retreats throughout the year. They are an important part of the program so you will need to attend all of them. We expect your retreat days to be about 20 across the year (14 of which are weekdays so you may require annual leave from work).
Am I required to book accommodation or relocate for RECHARGE?
No, once you arrive at each intensive (Sydney based), all accommodation, food and transport is organised for you. Recharge is designed so that you can stay planted where you are, there is no need to relocate.
What does it cost to complete Recharge?
Recharge costs $3500 per student for the year. A $700 deposit is due by 15 January to secure your place in the course. The remaining $2800 can be paid in 3 instalments across the year. If a student is able to pay the whole year fees upfront, they will receive a 20% discount (pay by 15 January).
We encourage students to seek financial support from their church, family and friends. Please talk to us if you are experiencing financial difficulties as we would hate for this to be the reason you don’t apply!
Please note: additional fees will apply for students who wish to participate as an accredited ACOM student. Please enquire for a complete fee structure for your chosen pathway.
Can I receive HECS or FEE HELP?
Students who choose to study for credit will pay a portion of their fees directly to ACOM. Study with ACOM is Austudy and Fee-Help approved through the Sydney College of Divinity for students who meet the Australian Government criteria. (Visit www.studyassist.gov.au for details).
Please note: Even if you choose to study for credit, there will still be additional fees payable directly to Fresh Hope, including a $700 deposit to secure your place in the course. Please enquire for a full fee breakdown.
DO I NEED TO BE PHYSICALLY FIT TO PARTICIPATE IN Recharge?
Although not the primary focus, there will be physical activities involved in Recharge retreats. Please ensure you make us aware of any existing injuries or physical limitations that may impede your participation and we will do our best to accommodate the ability of the whole group.
Amazing journey in so many ways
Amazing journey in so many ways. It has provided the knowledge, resources, tools and support I have needed to help deal with the things holding me back in life and reignite my relationship with God.
The beautiful journey continues
When I started Recharge I thought all my problems with myself would be fixed. God had other plans. Over the year He has grown me in his infinite wisdom, slowly and gently. I am now a more loving, cherished daughter of God. The beautiful journey continues.
It will be more than you expect
I chose to do Recharge as the word ‘re-calibrate’ jumped off the brochure and I felt a couple of promptings by the Holy Spirit. At first, I was thinking how it would possibly fit in with my busy home life and nursing studies. But it has been such a refreshing experience. It’s awesome how God weaves the whole experience together with fellow students as well as facilitators who are immensely qualified, spiritually gifted and sensitive to the journey. I will miss this next year. It will be more than you expect or can imagine… in a good way.
